Choice Hotels International is planning a spring move for its Phoenix regional headquarters to a 90,000-square-foot office at Loop 101 and Scottsdale Road.
The move will consolidate locations totaling 79,000 feet near Paradise Valley Mall and at Deer Valley Office Park, said Heather Soule, manager of corporate communications for the Maryland-based chain. The 421 employees at those sites are involved in e-commerce, information technology and property support, she said.
The new office area will feature an on-site cafeteria, outdoor patio, training rooms, meeting space, covered parking and a 24/7 customer support call center area. The building is owned by an affiliate of Denver-based Miller Global Properties.
“We are pleased that Choice Hotels International chose Northeast Phoenix as the new location for their regional offices,” said Phoenix City Councilwoman Peggy Neely. “This announcement marks a long-term commitment to a community that is a perfect fit for a respected industry leader.”
Choice Hotels’ (NYSE:CHH) more than 6,000 franchised properties include Comfort Inn, Comfort Suites, Quality, Sleep Inn, Clarion, Cambria Suites, MainStay Suites, Suburban Extended Stay Hotel, Econo Lodge, Rodeway Inn and Ascend Collection.
